2013 Paddle Bayou Lafourche!

Come experience the natural elegance of Bayou Lafourche and join the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program as we enjoy a south Louisiana weekend paddling trip from the headwaters of Bayou Lafourche in Donaldsonville to the community of Lockport.

Paddlers may pick and choose which day(s) to participate (from one to four days) and enjoy the bonding, camaraderie and sense of accomplishment that comes from going the distance on Bayou Lafourche--Donaldsonville to Lockport!

Registration for 2013 Paddle Bayou Lafourche is closed.
Paddle dates are April 4-7, 2013.

• Price is per paddler per day, not per canoe/kayak
• Children have to be at least 5 years old to paddle.
• Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. There are a limited amount of paddlers allowed per day.
• Deadline for registration with guaranteed  of paddle t-shirt is March 21, 2013.  Participants registered after March 21 are not guaranteed a shirt.

Paddle Bayou Lafourche!

From the wilder bayou origins at the Mississippi River, this 52-mile, 4-day adventure winds its way through a number of rural communities and several small cities.  Paddlers will not only be treated to scenic natural vistas, but to a fascinating "backyard view" of this historic bayou.

Paddlers may pick and choose which day(s) to participate (from one to four days) and enjoy the bonding, camaraderie and sense of accomplishment that comes from going the distance on Bayou Lafourche--Donaldsonville to Lockport!

Wednesday Night Arrangements

Lagniappe Cooking Group would like to provide paddlers the opportunity to enjoy a Kick Off Party for the BTNEP’s 2013 Paddle Bayou Lafourche event.  The event will take place at Crescent Park in Donaldsonville, LA on Wednesday, April 3, 2013.  Paddlers will have a place to sleep and can enjoy visiting with fellow paddlers, music and food.  A buffet–style dinner will be available for paddlers for $12.

If you are interested in staying the Wednesday night, please let BTNEP know as soon as possible. This opportunity will only be available if at least 15 paddlers are interested.
